We’ve all heard of Apple, Samsung, Motorola, Blackberry, and a handful of other mobile manufacturers. But it’s not likely that many of us have ever heard of Blu Products, the self-proclaimed fastest growing mobile phone manufacturer. But today, according to the folks at PR Newswire, the company announced their newest line of phones: Blu Life Series.

The new series consists of three different models, the Life Play, Life View, and Life One. Each are powered by a MediaTek MT6589 1.2GHz Quad-Core chipset, will come equipped with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and connect at 4G speeds.

  • The Blu Life One boasts a 5-inch high definition Gorilla Glass screen, 16GB of internal memory, 1GB RAM, a microSD card slot that can handle up to 32GB cards, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 13-megapixel rear camera.
  • The Blu Life View features a bigger 5.7-inch HD scratch-resistant screen, 16GB of internal memory, 1GB RAM, a microSD card slot that can handle up to 32GB cards, a 5-megapixel front camera, and a 12-megapixel rear camera.
  • The Blu Life Play is the most compact model, sporting a 4.7-inch HD screen, 4GB of internal memory, 1GB RAM, a microSD card slot that can handle up to 32 GB cards, a 2-megapixel front camera, and an 8-megapixel rear camera.

As far as we can tell, the three phones, which will start shipping the last week of April, will only be available to the U.S market, and each of them will be unlocked, meaning you’ll be able to hook them up to the network of your choice. The One and View will retail for $300, while the Play will sell for just $230. They’ll be made available through several U.S. online retailers; Amazon is the only that we’ve been able to confirm so far.

The Nothing Phone is finally coming to the U.S., and I can’t wait
The Nothing Phone 1 held in a mans hand, seen from the back.

Nothing just announced that it has sold over 1 million combined units of its maiden smartphone and stylish earbuds, barely a year after its first product launched. The juicy revelation came courtesy of a CNBC interview, during which co-founder Carl Pei said the company is planning to bring its flashy smartphones to the U.S. market.
The British upstart from the former OnePlus co-founder hasn’t put the Nothing Phone 1 on American retail shelves, despite the phone making positive waves in Europe and Asia. The company had argued that it was primarily focusing on markets where it has “strong partnerships with leading local carriers.”

However, the company did commit to launching “a U.S.-supported mobile in the future.” Now, the confirmation comes straight from Pei, teh CEO. He cited “additional technical support, to support all the carriers and their unique customizations” as the reasons why the Nothing Phone 1 didn’t come to Apple’s home market.

Nreal’s Air AR glasses head to the U.S., ready to rock with iPhones
Nreal Air AR glasses

Nreal is bringing its augmented reality (AR) glasses to the U.S., and this time the company is porting over all that immersive fun to the iOS ecosystem. The Nreal Air, which have been available in the U.K. since May, carry a price tag of $379 and will be available via Amazon and authorized retail outlets starting today.

The Nreal Air is a watered-down version of the Light AR glasses, but the package is still quite compelling for the asking price. Rocking a more consumer-friendly wayfarer design similar to Facebook’s Ray-Ban Stories, the Nreal Air feature an OLED display offering an effective resolution of 3840 x 1080, the same as the pricier Light version.
