Company's new flagship flip cellular phone is loaded with multimedia features, games, GPS functionality and more.
Boost Mobile and Motorola yesterday announced the addition of a new cellular phone to the former’s line up of youth oriented handsets. The new Motorola i875 is available now at a price of $399.99.
The Motorola i875 is a “champagne-colored†flip phone which features external player keys and comes with stereo headphones for users to enjoy the phone’s functionality to play MP3 songs, watch MPEG videos and display JPEG photos. Internal memory and external Transflash memory cards are used for storage of this multimedia files and these files are transferred to the phone via an included USB card reader and connection cable.
Other features of the Motorola i875 include a 1.3 megapixel, 4x zoom digital camera/video recorder, large, high resolution color screen, multimedia and text messaging, ringtones, hands free speakerphone, voice recorder, GPS functionality, preloaded Java enabled games and a walkie-talkie functionality.
“Clearly marked play and pause buttons on the outside of the phone, and the ability to quickly and easily transfer multimedia from your PC to the handset make the Motorola i875 an appealing phone-media player combination,” said Roberto Loria, director of retail packaged products, Boost Mobile. “Plus, the Motorola i875 can store and play MP3 songs and MPEG videos, and enables users to choose different amounts of memory.”
