Deal announced today will bring television related content from hit shows like CSI: NY and The King of Queens to mobile phones.
CBS and UPN today announced they were partnering with mobile entertainment provider Amp’d Mobile to bring television programming related content to the latter’s members’ broadband enabled wireless phones.
Content to be provided on Amp’d will include behind the scenes footage, unique previews, show clips and highlights from CBS’s CSI: NY, Numb3rs, The King of Queens and the Late Show with David Letterman as well as UPN’s America’s Next Top Model, Everybody Hates Chris and Girlfriends.
“We knew the ‘DVD-extra’ category of behind the scenes footage, highlights and interviews from these key CBS and UPN programs would be at the top of our members’ ‘must have’ list,” said Seth Cummings, Senior Vice President, Content and Internet Services, Amp’d Mobile. “Being able to creatively integrate Amp’d within the series and deliver a unique backstage pass to ‘America’s Next Top Model’ fans will undoubtedly become one of our most popular program offerings when we launch. We look forward to working closely with CBS and UPN to expand their programs’ reach to our mobile line up.”
