The Danger Hiptop smartphone is now available on opposite sides of the globe, thanks to new carrier deals recently announced by the company. In addition, they will now support Instant Messaging via the Yahoo IM protocol.
In a new deal with ONE, a network operator in Austria, the Danger Hiptop will be available to Austrian customers starting on 25 May. ONE is the second European carrier to offer the hybrid phone/data Hiptop, after Germany’s E-Plus. The Hiptop will sell for 449 EUR (approximately $290 USD), with a flat rate service plan available for 19.90 EUR per month. That is in addition to basic voice plans.
