apple-iphone-4s-vs-motorola-droid-razr

We pit the Droid Razr vs. the iPhone 4S to whether the descendant of one one of the most popular flip phones ever can cut it on a touchscreen, too.

Motorola announced yesterday the super-thin and extra-durable Droid Razr smartphone. Armed with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, a 4.3-inch super AMOLED display, and solid maximum battery life, the device has the potential to be one of the most popular handsets available on Verizon Wireless. But no phone can go without standing against Apple’s new iPhone 4S, which has already broken sales records less than a week after it officially went on sale. So, how does Motorola’s latest offering compare to Apple’s? Let’s break it down in this spec showdown.

  1. Jeff Kocmit at 7:29am 28th October 2011 Don't worry if you dont like the droid razr or the Iphone 4s Droid will be releasing the droid razr 2 next month and probably 18 other phones. Those idiots cant get it right. Stick with Iphone!!
  2. Kunal Arora at 4:31am 20th October 2011 it is really a tough decision to make, Iphone 4s though looks same externally but has evolved internally. Though user interface has changed in ios 5 which every apple lover would enjoy. Other than that Apple iphone 4s gives a classic look with the smoothest touch made ever. On the other hand, razr is something new, a unique device, giving the name razr says it all. We cant forget the success of the razr series. I would suggest if someone has iphone 4 or even 3gs and wants to try something new other than iphone he/she should really go for razr
  3. Rawbean Shakya at 7:57am 20th October 2011 monologue going on here....
  4. bennymac at 10:52pm 19th October 2011 The screen may be one inch bigger, but the rez it slightly lower... I can't imagine it will make a huge difference but its something to take into account.
  5. Greg Clauson at 11:21pm 19th October 2011 It still has crap android on it...
  6. Dan Gabbi at 9:53pm 19th October 2011 If the battery life is as stated I will go for it as I am used to the 4.3 screen from using HTC phones .
  7. Kiran Jadhav at 1:11pm 19th October 2011 Battery life (video) on iPhone is more than its battery life (talk) ??? Really??I think this is a mistake.
    1. Tom Pajak at 1:18pm 19th October 2011 its gotta be or everyone should just start using Skype..lol
    2. Andrew Couts at 1:54pm 19th October 2011 Believe it or not, those are the correct specs, according to Apple. I totally understand the skepticism, however.
  8. iMan at 8:58am 19th October 2011 I'm still an iPhone =]
    1. Ian Bell at 9:54am 19th October 2011 Why?
      1. iMan at 10:07am 19th October 2011 Didn't you read that post on how 93 percent of iPhone users are loyal to apple?http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/survey-reveals-strength-of-loyalty-among-iphone-owners/
        1. Peca at 7:00pm 19th October 2011 It's your money man, enjoy.
        2. Wojtek Jacob Poppe at 2:51pm 7th May 2012 That is because you are locked in. Once you go Apple they lock you in and you don't have a choice. Would you really give up your entire music collection and go through the pain of porting you contact list etc. Once you go Apple you are stuck. Maybe happy to be stuck, but nonetheless stuck.
      2. Tom Pajak at 1:13pm 19th October 2011 its a cult thing I guess
      3. jesterking at 8:03am 20th October 2011 Kool-aid! that's why! lol

    2. Joe Hoyle at 10:55am 19th October 2011 Why? Man, have you seen how ugly that thing is :P
      1. iMan at 11:21am 19th October 2011 Really u think iPhone 4S is ugly?
        1. Tom Pajak at 1:16pm 19th October 2011 the iphone screams...HEY..look at me..I am the same design as 16 months ago and you guys are stuck with me on contract for ANOTHER 24 MONTHS!!!...I thought Apple was suppose to be imaginative..
          1. jesterking at 8:07am 20th October 2011 ya know, I was talking on another forum last night about the same thing... The only innovative thing that is out there with Apple is the ipod. Everything else is either just some rehash of that. Iphone = ipod with radio. Ipad = inflated ipod. they don't mix up the style at all.. if they do it's something stupid, like put the antenna where your hand will be so you have to put a rubber bumper on it just to make calls. They upgrade the hardware... barely. just to justify getting another $400 out of people every 6 months. Go figure.
        2. Joe Hoyle at 8:24am 23rd November 2011 I was referring to the droid!
      2. Ian Bell at 11:25am 19th October 2011 What do you use Joe? Some huge Droid with a padded Otter Box case? :)
        1. Joe Hoyle at 8:24am 23rd November 2011 Ugh no, iPhone 4S - I was saying the Droid was ugly!
Close Suggestion Google says buying Motorola won’t put it in the handset business
