The new iPad is here — and that means it’s time for another round of tablet wars. We’ve compared the latest iteration of the iPad against the last-gen model, as well as the Asus Transformer Prime and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. Feast your eyes on these tablets in all their specification-glory, and stayed tuned for updates as we learn more about the latest iPad.

I also love how it went from, “LIST SOME FACTS TO BACK UP YOUR ARGUMENT”, to ,” You are having a dialogue with yourself.” You’re simply a child in an adult body that can’t accept that he’s wrong. You remind me of the people who come into my store that have zero knowledge on tablets. I’ll go to show them a couple android tablets and point out all of the things you can do with them and they’ll say,” Is it an iPad tho?” I could go on and on and on, but it’s incredibly clear that you’re an apple nut til you die, and there’s nothing wrong with that… But don’t tote the iPad 2 around like it’s the superior device, because it’s FAR from it.
Im not up on tablets but im not sure what to get wonder if you could tell be which will be the next best tablet to come out ive always bought samsung phones and wonder what the tablets would be like my sisters got the nexus 7 i travel alot but i need 10, 7 is to small for my eyesight need to be connected all the time wifi-3g whats bestlook forward to your reply.
You’re still talking in circles. I never said the iPad was any better than any other tablet. Please quote me. I merely corrected, with facts, the misconceptions that most people have about the iPad. Which I clearly did. I have no problems with android tablets & I would recommend them depending on who I speak to. I actually have recommended the kindle fire to a lot of people over the iPad. Anyway, I am an apple nut. The product just works & does everything I can do on my laptop. If you sell these devices & don’t now how processors & OSes work than that’s pretty scary. The ipad doesn’t need the quad core because the hardware & software are integrated. When they are made for each other the way they are then you don’t necessarily need more CPU. It’s just a battery hog. C’mon you should know better than that. Well I guess that we’re done. Sorry I’m an apple fan, I enjoy their products, they do good work & the devices just work. I don’t see anything wrong with that. I’m glad their are other devices out there, but that doesn’t mean the apple devices are bad products. 15 million people can’t be wrong.

pretty meh if you ask me…apple is running out of gimmicks
Ipad does not have 3G, so if you aren’t within range of 4G so you are without the internet connection then, a big lack.
Max go away. You’re having a dialogue with yourself. Youre now comparing ipad 2 to the transformer prime, then you mention new tablets announced at MWC (which i’d like to see how many of them actually make it). You’re a making no sense. Richard was making some false statements & I corrected him, which he still has yet to acknowledge. & yes I do think the transformer prime is a nice machine.
Richard you’re still making no sense. Acknowledge you were wrong about what can be done with an iPad. You’re talking about video files which I already said can be done easily on the iPad. You apparently don’t even know what I mean by an external wifi hard drive. Look up the Kingston widrive or the Seagate go-flex, then you can come back & apologize. They are just like plugging in a drive to a USB port, except I don’t have to plug it in. You can also use the iPad to do vpn’s, vnc’s, Log me in works great, we can go on & on, so you can use an iPad & I’m sure other tablets will do the same, to do exactly as you mention above. If you really want to get down & dirty you can jailbreak the tablet & do as your heart desires. High end graphics programs??? That’s what you have a desktop or laptop for. No one ever claimed that you need to use these on a tablet. So I think the one limiting himself is you Richard, you really don’t know what you’re talking about because you now are comparing desktops & that functionality to the iPad. You can compare it to any tablet & your argument would still be invalid. I’ve used Linux plenty, my favorite distro is Ubuntu. So I know how Linux works, I have several live cd’s sitting around too. Anyway, you guys are beneath me as you don’t know anything about which you speak, I’ve directly addressed your comments, while you guys are all over the place. Trying to find fault with something that has none. Poor undereducated apple haters, they talk in circles & don’t directly address any issues.
You should be comparing this to the transformer infinity, not the prime. If you’re going to show a not yet released device, you should do the same for the competition.

luis you still don’t get it, the tablet I use,I can use windows or linux depending on what is required, for playing movies I simply change the hard drive the internal hard drive with only .vob or mp4 movies on it and plug in a flash drive with linux geexbox and reboot I dont need wifi to use ext. hard drives, as far as any high end graphic programs: maya, lightwave, poser, and such I can use my windows hard drive for everything else I can use linux live cd or put any vers. of linux on another hard drive,It appears that you are just an I pad fan and thats fine, but when you limit yourself to only one idea or one product you miss out on what is out in the world,so enjoy something that will be replaced in 18 months and spend another $500.00 an a fad from a company that only wants money from sucker who buy into thier crap…
ipad 3 is a nice toy as someone pointed out and great for traveling. the days of traveling with a mac book pro and my nikon dslr with all the lenses are all over. plus the new basic editing will allow me to load photos on the fly without relying on photoshop and lightroom. at home, i still prefer to use my mac desktop and rarely use my six pound overheating too hot on the lap macbook pro(i use it about twice a year now) so the ipad3 is great for use in my classroom at the university.
To the people suggesting lack of Flash support, you do know that Adobe has pulled the plug on mobile Flash devices right? Even if the new iPad supported Flash, ADOBE DOESN’T ANYMORE!
If we are talking about the iPad 3 then I’d be happy to list some more FACTS that prove that upcoming android tablets (already announced I might add) already beat out the confirmed specs for the iPad 3. iPad 2 is a great tablet, but it will always be inferior to android. Hardware wise, anyway… It does have a lot of strong points as well though. I love the style of the OS in certain situations, but it allows almost zero customization. iPad is a good option if you have zero experience with technology and you have no interest in overclocking your processor, or theming your tablet, or choosing icon sets.
The mobile world congress comment was simply to add on to the fact that EVEN in the iPad 3, apple STILL hasn’t put a quad core processer into one of their devices, and there are countless ones that are! and I believe we were talking about your iPad2? You know the one in the first post? I sell these devices for a living, Luis. Stop trying to defend apple, you will NEVER, and I mean NEVER EVER win. Whether we are talking about a Macbook or and iPad. It all remains the same.
Haters will always hate what they don’t have.
