Phiaton recently unleashed the latest addition to its Moderna series of headphones, the MS200. As part of the Moderna series, these in-ears sport a carbon-fiber exterior and Phiaton’s bright red accents on the ear tips and cable. Flashy? Yes. But we’ve grown to like it.
The MS200 don’t skimp on features, build quality or accessories. Phiaton packs with the MS200 a cylindrical carrying case, four pairs of standard silicone eartips, a new “RightFit” silicone eartip, and a pair of Comply foam tips. All that is to say: It’s a pretty good bet you’ll find a set of eartips that suit you. If not, you might want to consider getting your ears checked. The MS200 also sport Phiaton’s three-button in-line microphone – a design we’ve found works very well.
We’ve been evaluating the MS200 in anticipation of our formal review, and while we’re going to keep the really good stuff to ourselves for now, we can say that we are very pleased with their performance.
Now for the good news: We’re giving away a pair of the MS200 to one lucky winner. All you have to do is leave a comment below telling us what you currently use for an in-ear headphone and why you’d like to switch to the MS200. The contest ends on Saturday, December 1 and we’ll announce the winner on December 3.
Good luck and get commenting!
I’m using the old philips earphones (Cries) The sound quality sucks, and the fit causes earpains and soreness. Not only that, everyone around me hears what im hearing, and it bugs them. The sound sucks, the fit sucks, the quality sucks, its pretty obvious why I would want to switch.
Thanks..n hope i’ll win
I am deaf
I’ve been using these old Sony earbuds, the MDR EX38IP model..i think. My reason for wanting a change is simple in my opinion. I’d like to switch because the right side earbud no longer transmits sound. Well, there it is, good luck everyone.
I use the headphones that came with my iPhone from 4 years ago. But, if I won, I’d give the headphones to my husband. He’s had a heck of a time lately with medical stuff and is having an ACL reconstructive surgery in about 3 weeks. A good pair of headphones would be a wonderful treat since he won’t have much else to do other than read and listen to music. Thanks!
I’m currently using some dollar store piece of crap headphones i found on the street they don’t even say a brand probably because they were embarrassed to put there name on it.
I currently use a pair of coby $3.99 ear buds that sound great but I’d love to see if these are truly amazing for the money..
I currently use Skull Candies and am relatively happy with them and their sound quality. I use them primarily at the gym where they do not stay in my ears properly all the time but I use them because they are the best sounding out of the ones I have tried. I would love the opportunity to have and try the MS200. I would even be willing to do a lil write up after using them if you would like. Thank you for the consideration and hope everyone is having a great day!
I’m using a pair of $15 skull candy’s that i saw were on sale. The sound is very foggy, but the base was like a grenade going off every time someone hit a kick drum. Recently i went on a school trip that included a 5 hour car drive. It was going well until my right headphone died, and i was forced to listen to the girls in the bus sing their take on every pop song from Justin Beiber, One Direction, Lady Gaga, and many more. The scary thing is, we have another trip in the spring that is going to be 10 to 12 hours long. I was waiting for Christmas to role around so i could buy a reliable one with clear sound. If i was to win, you would save my ears from bleeding.
I’ve been using the Titan buds by Skullcandy for a while now. I listen to my ipod while working out at the gym and while riding my bike, which is nearly everyday now. Along with me playing my guitar a couple hours a day, music pretty much surrounds my life. It would be absolutely great to have higher quality audio while working out, the better I can hear my music, the more motivation I’ll have.
I am an avid runner so music is critical to my workouts. I currently use Yurbuds in ears. They are good but not great. I also use the Samsung plugs which came with my phone as an emergency backup. I would LOVE to give the MS200′s a go. BRING EM ON!!!
I currently use a pair of Skullcandy Heavy Medal’s which are similarly designed, in that, they enter half in the ear with the part of the ‘phones that the driver is located rests just outside the ear canal but in the ear; I selected these headphones because I have rather large ears and I’m picky about sound quality, the lifetime warranty Skullcandy has on its products is why I love these headphones even more. I was looking into getting a pair of the Phiaton PS210i on Cyber Monday but I’m loving the aesthetics of the Moderna MS200. I currently can only listen to .flac files on my laptop due to my mp3 (Android 4.0+ cell phone) having a damaged AUX input, but I would still love to try out these new ‘phones.
i use the ear phones provided with nokia c-7, and want to use ms-200 as i like the specification provided, will use sure if i win luckily or will have to buy.
I’m currently using the Power beats by Beats by Dre (I got em for the trend ) big mistake!!! Don’t get me wrong the have a clear sound, just seems to have no force behind the sound quality. I figured to submit this to give it a try. They look great (stylish) why not??
I’m currently using the klipsch multimedia earbuds, they’re like the S3 but downscaled. Everyday I bike down to campus and the wind interference on my earbuds is driving me insane. It seems like the MS200 will help solve my issue and save me the hassle of searching for new earbuds and the money of having to buy new ones. Thanks for your time :)
I currently use the SoundMAGIC PL11s. While the bass output is excellent, there are times when tracks become muddy. I want to switch to the MS200s for a more balanced audio experience.
