The iPOD Touch IS already the iPAD Mini…. it has a Retina display and front and rear camera, Face Time and it runs most of the same apps as the iPhone and IPAD. I own one – it's great. Apple needs to refresh it' naming a little like they did with the aluminum MacBook and made it a "Pro"…. the same sort of thing needs to happen with the iPOD Touch…. it;s really part of the iPAD family and not the iPOD. It has become a powerful little pocket computer. I can see Apple introducing a 7" and have it dock into the side of the new iMac vie a new iPOD docking feature (they have a patent on this already)

Well as long as it works easily, then I am down with it. I just think the single home button is super easy to use.

but with the recently uncovered "Smart Bezel" patent, you don't even need a button. Hell with the iOS 4.3 gestures alone you don't need a home button.

I have bought a ton of Apple iPods and Nanos but have yet to buy an iPad due to its cost and the issues Apple seems to have addressed with the iPad 2 (if the rumors are true). If the new version includes the features hinted at by the rumors then I may have to finally break down and find some way to get the money to buy an iPad 2. At the very least maybe I can find someone who wants to sell their old iPad.

Does anyone know if the music program, I have seen on TV, really works well with the iPad? I had to stop playing the piano about 10 years ago because of hand and eye coordination problems. The program looked like it would allow me to play again by highlighting the notes as they need to be played. If it really does that I would once again be able to enjoy playing the piano. I would almost sell my soul to be able to do that again.

Dual cameras make sense and I like the SD card slot idea. Not sure I like the flat back design or the lack of a home button (which is just dumb).
