whenever I try to connect to my WiFi, it just says, “Authentication failed.” It’s been saying this for some weeks now.

I have a recurrent problem composing emails on my Kindle Fire. I should note that I monitor my AOL emails by going to the AOL site on my Kindle and signing in with my password. Once in, I can read messages and access sent messages and so on—anything I could do on my laptop. However, fairly often, when I’m composing an email (usually as a reply to one I’ve received), I’ll see a typo and use the stylus to relocate to the error and fix it. Something in this process causes the Kindle to drop me out of AOL. When I use the return button to get back where I was, I’ve lost everything from the point of my last “save” to the occurrence of this glitch. VERY annoying. I can’t figure out what I’m doing with the stylus to cause this. If anyone else has this problem and, better yet, a solution, I’d love to hear it.

I haven’t had any issues with my kindle fired hd until now. The last few days the kindle wont load my apps, and now I can’t go back to the home screen. I tried a 20 second reboot and it didn’t help.

I got FREEdi YouTube Downloarder along time ago and it never had a problem intill now. It will let me click it but then the screen turns black. And the area for my free videos will let me in but if I click on a video it won’t play. I press play but it won’t. What do I do?

I didnt get a charger with my kindle fire hd but found my samsung galaxy ace charger fits. but lately it runs down the battery even when being charged via this charger so it isnt holding so annoyong when i rely on this charger for my phone and obviously cant charge both at the same time. surely it should have come with a charger in the box.

I bought myself a Kindle Fire HD 7" in Dec. 2012. I haven't experienced any of these problems. My main complains are as follows:

1. The Amazon App Store sucks. The Google Play store has 100x more content.

2. It takes too long to charge, and the charge doesn't hold for long enough.

3. The autocorrect in the keyboard is a huge pain.

4. No voice recognition like the Google Nexus 7", which is the same price.

5. The touchscreen isn't as sensitive as it should be. Typing can be difficult.

But yeah... the biggest problem is the Amazon App Store. I really wish I would have spent my $200.00 on a Google Nexus, so I could have access to the Google Play store.

I just purchased a Kindle Fire HD 8.9″. I did not purchase the Amazon Prime service ($79.00). I’m finding that media for this device is very expensive and applications that worked on older Kindle Fires don’t work for this Fire HD version (e.g. SCRABBLE EA). Media streaming and e-mails that I’m used to on other devices either don’t work, or are very different looking on the Kindle Fire HD. Perhaps it’s just because I’m not used to the new toy yet, but you would think the designers would think to make this device seamlessly compatible with the more popular media streams and applications. So caution when you plunk down a chunk of change for this device…
