London Top For Business Wi-Fi Use

London is the top city in the world for the business usage of W-Fi, according to a new survey.

People know London for a lot of things, but the capital of business Wi-Fi usage probably isn’t something that would occur to most people. But, according to the iPass Mobile Broadband Index, that’s exactly what it is, according to ZDNet.

iPass, a company that provides connectivity to companies supplying Wi-Fi hotspots, is in an excellent position to observe statistic, and it gathered figured from over 100,000 hotspots in 80 countries.

During the first half of this year there were 31,842 Wi-Fi sessions, up 27% over the first half of 2007, and far ahead of the nearest rival, Singapore. With over 1300 well-established hotspots, many in the Canary Wharf business area, business is good, and Heathrow Airport ranked third most popular for Wi-Fi connectivity globally after Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International and Chicago O’Hare.
