Known for its lack of waterproofing, you wouldn’t want to take your iPhone with you to the shower or outside when it rains. Mophie wants to change that with its Juice Pack H2Pro battery case for the iPhone 6 Plus and 6S Plus.

As its name implies, the H2Pro packs a 2,950mAh battery, which provides up to an additional 17 hours of talk time, 8 hours of Internet use, or 10 hours of video watching. With mixed usage, the H2Pro should bump up either jumbo smartphone’s battery life by up to 70 percent.

However, the H2Pro’s claim to fame is its waterproofing — the case is rated IP68, so you won’t need to worry about dropping your iPhone 6 Plus or 6S Plus into a pool and leaving it in there for 30 minutes. Thanks to the protective layer over the body of the phone, as well as a scratch-resistant membrane over Touch ID, the H2Pro can also withstand bumps, spills, and scratches. Don’t worry, though — even though there is a membrane over Touch ID, it can still be used to gain access to your iPhone.

If you’re feeling a little adventurous, the military drop test standard rating of MIL STD 810G-516.6 ensures you can drop the H2Pro from a height of almost four feet. The rating also protects your iPhone from vibrations and shocks, so feel free to use the H2Pro during your next hiking adventure.

Mophie’s battery cases tend to not be the cheapest around, and that trend continues with the Juice Pack H2Pro for the iPhone 6 Plus and 6S Plus currently available for $130. Regardless, if you’re someone who can be incredibly clumsy with liquids around your smartphone, the $130 you’ll spend on the H2Pro is a bargain compared to the hundreds you’ll need to spend if you ever spill liquid on your phone.

I’ve had the iPhone 15 Pro for six months. Here’s why it’s still amazing
Blue Titanium iPhone 15 Pro in hand.

The iPhone 15 Pro was released on September 22, 2023. When Apple announced it, I was excited about changes like the Action button and the titanium frame.

Now, as we approach the end of the first quarter of 2024, the iPhone 15 line is six months old. We’ve already had a slew of flagship Android phones, with the OnePlus 12 and the Samsung Galaxy S24 being particular standouts.

The iPhone 15 lineup — which includes the standard iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro — is the iPhone at its best. It's the latest series of iPhones available today and the default choice if you're buying a new iPhone in 2024.

But it’s not the only choice of iPhones you can purchase. In fact, Apple still sells the iPhone 14, iPhone 13, and the iPhone SE on its website. You could also find other iPhone models available – refurbished or new — from other retailers or carrier stores.

We now know when Apple is adding RCS to the iPhone
The iPhone 14 Plus held in a man's hand.

Last November, Apple made a surprise announcement when it confirmed that RCS was coming to the iPhone in 2024. It's something iPhone and Android phone users alike have been waiting years for, but there was just one small problem: Apple never said when in 2024 RCS was coming. Thanks to Google, of all companies, we now have a better idea of when RCS is heading to the iPhone.

As spotted by 9to5Google, the Android website was recently updated with a new page dedicated to Google Messages. If you click on the "See more features" button for the section talking about RCS, there's a section titled "Better messaging for all" with the following text: "Apple has announced it will be adopting RCS in the fall of 2024. Once that happens, it will mean a better messaging experience for everyone."
