Verizon took the wraps off the long-rumored Motorola Droid 2 today. It looks very similar to the original Motorola Droid, offering a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and the same size 3.7-inch display and 5-megapixel camera. The Droid 2 will come with Android 2.2, which features Adobe Flash Player 10.1 built-in, 3G Mobile HotSpot capabilities, and high-speed Web browsing. The new Droid will again come with the 16GB of memory but can support up to 40 GB of total storage capacity, a small boost from the first Droid’s support for 32 GB. The Droid 2 will be available for pre-sale starting tomorrow, August 11, for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and new two-year service agreement.
