Motorola Inc. and Oakley Inc. have announced a joint venture to introduce Bluetooth-enabled wearable wireless communications devices.
“Under the collaboration, Motorola will fuse its latest Bluetooth technology with the eyewear technology and design expertise of Oakley (Foothill Ranch, Calif). Details and designs will be unveiled by mid-2005.
Company executives said their mutual objective is to deliver products for consumers who want hands- free, untethered operation of their electronic devices.”
