Nokia Launches Two Phones For Asian Market
Nokia launched on Wednesday two phones aimed at the booming Asia-Pacific markets and said it would set up a research and development facility in India.
Nokia today introduced a CDMA2000 1X phone with a contemporary outlook and feature set for mobile professionals, broadening its range of CDMA products for consumers in Asia Pacific markets. Exuding a sense of modernity and confidence, the competitively priced Nokia 3125 phone offers a rich combination of advanced functionality with fun and entertainment features, enabling professionals to stay connected at work and socially.
Unveiled at the regional “CDMA : Partnership For Growth” technology summit held in Mumbai, the Nokia 3125 phone powered by Nokia’s own CDMA2000 1X chipset, operates on CDMA 800 networksand is expected to be commercially available in Asia Pacific markets during the third quarter of 2004.
