Nokia's N92 is the first mobile device with a built-in DVB-H receiver, enabling the unit to receive live television. Now the question is: when will mobile TV be available?
At its Nokia Mobility Conference in Barcelona, handset maker Nokia took the wraps off three new Nseries wireless devices, including the N92 TV phone, the first wireless multimedia device with a built-in Digital Video Broadcast-Handheld (DVB-H) television receiver.
According to Richard Sharp, Nokia’s VP of Rich Media, the N92 “is the first in a range of products bringing together the rich experience of conventional broadcast TV with the connected experience of mobility to create a new category – mobile TV.” The device, expected to be available in Africa, Europe, and Asia by mid-2006 at a price around
