Normally, to get the OnePlus One, you’d need to be dependent on OnePlus’ invite-only system. However, OnePlus announced that, starting tomorrow, January 20, and for a short time only, anyone can purchase the smartphone without an invite.

While the invite system has been dropped for a short time in the past, tomorrow’s window of opportunity grants you the ability to outright purchase the OnePlus One instead of placing a pre-order. You can pick up the 16GB Silk White version for $300 or the 64GB Sandstone Black variant for $350.

No matter where you are, you’ll only have a two-hour window to purchase the handset. Here in North America, you’ll have from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST, while those in Europe and Hong Kong have from 19:00 to 21:00 GMT and 19:00 to 21:00 HKT, respectively. Unlike before, there won’t be any discounts on accessories you might want to grab alongside the OnePlus One.

Even though rumors about the OnePlus Two are flaring up, the OnePlus One can still stand on its own just fine. While our review revealed the handset having a litany of bugs, updates since then have hopefully squashed a good number of them. Besides, the fast processor and other great specs you get with the OnePlus One, especially for the price, is something that can’t be overlooked.

Genshin Impact Edition OnePlus 12R (left) and Flowy Emerald OnePlus 12.

OnePlus has had a very solid start to 2024 with the release of the OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus 12R. While both phones look very similar, one is a flagship, while the other is a more budget-friendly option with slightly lesser specs.

Though both devices' cameras appear similar at first glance, they’re actually quite different. In addition to different specs, only the OnePlus 12 has Hasselblad branding, meaning that it has better color calibration, white balance and exposure, and more. In short, photos you take with the OnePlus 12’s Hasselblad camera are probably going to look better.

OnePlus' merger back into its parent company, Oppo, has been both good and bad for the "Never Settle" brand. While OnePlus has seen a dismaying downfall in the quality of its previously distinctive interface, it has helped make up for that in camera performance -- thanks in large part to Oppo's partnership with imaging stalwart Hasselblad. That collaboration is rumored to bear fruit once again, this time in the form of a flip phone with a robust camera.
