Panasonic Mobile announced that it has begun shipments of the mova P505i handset to NTT DoCoMo, Inc.
A mere 19.9 mm when folded, the P505i handset is the slimmest mobile phone in the mova® 505i series1. The P505i handset is equipped with a miniSDTM Memory Card slot allowing users to store theirfavorite still shots or video clips taken from the P505i’s two CCD cameras. Sales of the mova® P505i handset is scheduled to begin on August 8, 2003.
The mova® P505i handset contains an advanced one-push call-answer button situated on the clamshell hinge that blinks whenever there is an incoming call or e-mail. When the button is pressed, thehandset automatically opens and connects the call.
The mova® P505i handset is also equipped with an inner and outer CCD camera. Each camera can capture standard and continuous still shots, as well as record up to 10-second video clips. Camera buttons located on the side of the handset enables users to take pictures even when the handset is closed.
Users can customize the photos taken from their P505i by using the handset’s various editing functions. The P505i is also equipped with a miniSDTM Memory Card slot allowing the user to store and share photos with family and friends. Using the miniSDTM Memory Card and adaptor, the photos can then be used in conjunction with a variety of Panasonic AV equipment including the SD mobile printer (AV-P30) and DVD-RAM video recorder (DMR-E60).
The mova® P505i comes in three stylish colors (luminous red, lucid silver, noble black). The price of the handset, including miniSDTM Memory Card and adaptor will be open.
