Pantech’s C610 Brings GPS, 3G for $29

The Korean company's latest flip phone will become one of AT&T's best-equipped budget phones.

While the rest of the mobile phone world scrambles for the next best smartphone, AT&T has taken to improving the lower end of its phone offerings with the introduction of Pantech’s C610. The phone boasts a variety of features usually found in pricier phones, including GPS and a 3G radio, but will sell for only $29 with contract

Besides the flip phone’s location awareness and snappy Internet, it will include Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, a microSD slot for media, and compatibility with a host of AT&T services, including Video Share, MobiRadio, and its streaming music services. The built-in media player will read MP3, AAC, WMA and MPEG4 files off of microSD cards.

Initially, AT&T will only offer the C610 in “metropolitan red” with chrome accents. The phone is available immediately through AT&T for $29 with a two-year contract.
