Motorola will incorporate the RealOne Player in select Motorola handsets, with an initial focus on Linux-based handsets for the mass market consumer audience.
The mobile version of the RealOne Player, with support for 3GPP and 3GPP2 media formats, RealAudio® and RealVideo®, should be available in Motorola devices in the first half of 2004.
The companies will work with leading mobile operators to enable delivery of premium live and on-demand streaming audio and video services to mobile consumers throughout the globe. Also through HelloMoto (http://www.hellomoto.com/), Motorola will distribute RealNetworks’ award-winning RealOne Player for the desktop as well as the company’s leading content services, including: RealOne RHAPSODY, RealOne SuperPass and RealOne GamePass. HelloMoto allows consumers to download games, ringtones, applications and content to enhance their mobile experience.
