Samsung Galaxy Note coming to T-Mobile August 8 for $250

If you’ve been awaiting the perfect blend of phone and tablet to come to T-Mobile USA then you’ll be delighted to learn that on August 8 the Samsung Galaxy Note will be available on the network. It’s going to cost you $250 after a $50 mail-in rebate and that’s with the usual two-year service plan.

The 5.3 inch device sports a stylus and a range of exclusive apps. The touchscreen is impressive and the S-Pen is more than just a standard stylus, but the huge size will limit the audience. Do people want a bridge between smartphones and tablets? There are advantages, but making phone calls one-handed can prove challenging. You can find out more about it and decide if it’s for you in our Samsung Galaxy Note review.

While AT&T picked up the Samsung Galaxy Note a while ago it only just got the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update. The good news for T-Mobile customers is that they’ll get a Note sporting ICS straight out of the box. The bad news is that it doesn’t feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

If you’ve been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy Note on T-Mobile then this is obviously great news, but with the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 just around the corner many people may prefer to wait a little longer.
