Samsung’s Nexus Prime specs and picture leak

There were three big mysteries surrounding the holiday smartphone market: the iPhone 4S, the first Nokia Windows Phone(s), and Google’s first Android Ice Cream Sandwich phone. Two days ago, we learned about the iPhone, and today we get our first glimpse at Google and Samsung’s upcoming Android 4.0 phone: the Nexus Prime…or the Droid Prime, or maybe the Galaxy Nexus. We don’t really know the name of it, but BGR has picked up some supposed specs on the phone that Samsung and Google will unveil at CTIA in San Diego this Tuesday.¬†

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 9mm thin
  • 4.65-inch 1280 x 720-pixel Super AMOLED HD with curved glass
  • TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 32GB of built-in storage
  • 5-megapixel camera on the back, 1.3-megapixel in the front
  • 1080p HD video capture support
  • LTE/HSPA depending on carrier
  • Wi-Fi a/b/g/n
  • NFC
  • 1,750 mAh battery

If true, this could be the phone to have. The curved glass display sounds cool, but the large size and big resolution of the screen are more impressive. In addition, having 32GB of internal storage and NFC (for Google Wallet) would be very cool and if it’s a Nexus, it will definitely be a pure Android experience phone, so it won’t have a bunch of custom UI tacked on. This phone may be a Verizon exclusive in the U.S., but we don’t yet know that for sure.

The picture above should give a better look at the phone. We’ll have to wait to see what the front looks like. Below is Samsung’s Ice Cream Sandwich teaser.
