Sirius Finally Draws Its Stiletto

Sirius has finally rolled out its Stiletto 100, a portable satellite radio with recording, Wi-Fi capability, and music purchase through Yahoo Music Jukebox.

If your life feels incomplete unless you can tune into the radiation beaming down from Sirius Satellite Radio, then you might want to check out the Stiletto 100, Sirius’s latest pocket-sized satellite radio designed to compete with recent portable systems from rival XM Satellite Radio.

The Stiletto 100 is a tiny, pocket-sized satellite radio receiver (measuring 4.7 inches by 2 inches by 1 inch) with 2 GB of onboard storage and a 2.2-inch LCD display. The Stiletto enables users to record up to 100 hours of Sirius content, either by automatically recording feeds from user’s favorite Sirius stations (up to 6 hours at a time) and enabling users to save up to 10 hours of individual music tracks from live Sirius broadcasts just by pressing the Stiletto’s "Love" button.

The Stiletto 100 also features built-in Wi-Fi for connection to Sirius services, which means users can tune into their Sirius broadcasts anywhere they can get Wi-Fi Internet access. Sirius’s Internet radio services include 64 commercial-free music channels, plus talk programming, OutQ, and offerings from Howard Stern and Martha Stewart.

Users can also transfer private digital music collections on a PC to the Stiletto 100 (MP3 and WMA format); Sirius also includes Yahoo Music Jukebox; any songs bookmarked by a Stiletto 100 user can be looked up and purchased when the user connects the Stiletto to a PC.

The Stiletto 100 carries a suggested price of $349.99; Sirius will also sell vehicle and home kits ($69.95 each), as well as batteries, headphones, and other accessories.
