SouthWing's SH241 bluetooth headset can tap into AT&T's VoiceInfo news and information service with the touch of a button.
Mobile users tend to be the kind of folks who want their news in a hurry and one the go—and what could be better than having the latest headlines and information delivered to you clandestinely through that Bluetooth headset you’re wearing all the time anyway? With SouthWing’s SH241 Bluetooth Headset, AT&T wireless users can access AT&T’s *8 VoiceInfo service with just a touch of a button, making it easy to get the latest headlines, travel, sports, news, and weather information via any AT&T Bluetooth-capable mobile phone. And, the system is voice-activated, so users can simply speak their selections to tunnel down into the news they want to hear.
“At SouthWing, we believe your voice is everything, and this is another example of delivering on that philosophy,” said SouthWing founder Bart Huisken, in a statement. “By simply pressing the Push4 button on an SH241 headset, users can immediately access important information by speaking their way through menus. They can even make a list of spoken favorites that expedite the process further.”
AT&T’s VoiceInfo service is perhaps better known for its “Instant Alibi” feature, whereby users can arrange a “perfectly timed” rescue call to get out of a meeting or social situation—although it probably doesn’t work with traffic tickets. VoiceInfo can also set up wake-up calls and reminders; the service is free, although per-minute access rates still apply.
The SouthWing SH241 is available now at AT&T retail locations for $39.99.
