Can’t wait for Black Friday? T-Mobile’s ‘Magenta Friday’ starts November 18

Deal detectives and bargain hunters are already scoping out the biggest discounts to come out of Black Friday. And now, T-Mobile is submitting its own deals for consideration — not on Black Friday, but a whole week earlier. That’s right — starting this Friday (November 18), the Un-carrier is rolling out its holiday deals in a day it has now deemed “Magenta Friday.” Because apparently, “Pink Friday” just doesn’t sound cool enough.

From November 18 through November 20, T-Mobile is offering two lines for free to families of four. Regardless of whether the additional line is for a smartphone or tablet, T-Mobile won’t charge you a cent for two new additions. “It’s time to start your holiday shopping early, and the Un-carrier is kicking things off with a bang this weekend on Magenta Friday!” said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile. “We know families work to stretch their budgets during the holiday season, so I love giving our Un-carrier customers a little — OK, a lot of extras this time of year.”

But don’t worry — if you’re not part of a family of four, T-Mobile has some deals for you as well. Next week, during the real Black Friday, T-Mobile has a full roster of free and discounted smartphones and services. From November 24 through November 27, T-Mobile is offering deals including a free Samsung Galaxy S7 upgrade after 24 monthly bill credits when you trade in a Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5, or other device. The firm is also giving customers a free Gear VR and $50 Oculus app store gift card alongside a Samsung Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge.

If you need some new headphones, the Un-carrier will give you $70 off the UE Boom 2 wireless speaker, or $30 off the LG Tone Pro 760 Bluetooth headset (now just $40). And the company is also offering a discount of over 80 percent on the Mophie Powerstation Mini.

So if Black Friday just can’t come fast enough, consider checking out Magenta Friday to tide you over until next week.
