Tapwave Launches Zodiac At CompUSA
The Zodiac gaming handheld is now available at the CompUSA chain, developer Tapwave announced today
This marks the system’s debut at major storefront retail, although it’s been available through mail order for some time. J&H announced the availability of the Zodiac last week, according to Tapwave.
CompUSA will stock the Zodiac in its mobile computing section, alongside a selection of accessories and game titles like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4 and Spy Hunter. DOOM II and Duke Nukem Mobile will evidently be joining the system’s software lineup shortly.
Two versions will be available — one, with 32 megabytes of storage space, priced at $299, and a more expensive $399 model with 128 megabytes of RAM.
The retail version of the Zodiac includes an upgraded software suite compared to the model already sold online, with improvements to its built-in organizer applications and background music playback.
