I have been a sprint customer for over eight years. No lates over thirty days. Got a 20% pay cut this year in income and benefits. ( Much higher health insurnace costs will raise it another 10% in 2010.) Tried to cancel my cell and was told that I auto renewed and had a 193.00 dollar fee to pay. They are now turning my account to collections and screwing with my credit and sueing me for the amount. I am really pissed off and ready to do anything including starting a class action in missouri. Pissed off in Missouri

Early Termination Fees are just another way that Mobile Carriers are padding their pockets & burning the consumers. IE: If a service is not an acceptable quality to a consumer at their residence - or if the carrier suddenly decides to increase their rate substantially, he/she should be able to terminate it when they wish without repercussions from the carrier. Also, what if a consumer looses their employment.
