While the iOS version of Mortal Kombat X was released on April 7, 2015, the Android version was launched worldwide at the beginning of May. In Mortal Kombat X, players will create their own team of Mortal Kombat fighters and lead them into battle. Players can compete in Faction Wars, which is an online competitive mode that divides players into factions, so they can engage other teams in deadly combat. Players can make their way up the leaderboard and earn weekly prizes. Players can also collect classic Mortal Kombat veterans like Scorpion, Johnny Cage, Sub-Zero, and more.

Vehicles are now fully destructible, so players have to hang on for dear life when their vehicle gets smashed by zombies.
