Verizon Wireless' latest offering is the Samsung SCH-a650 which features enhanced messaging and voice-activated dialing.

Verizon Wireless and Samsung Telecommunications America announce the SCH-a650, the newest Samsung wireless phone available to Verizon Wireless customers beginning May 28. The Samsung SCH-a650 features Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS), enlivening the phone’s TXT messaging capabilities with animation, images, icons and sound.
Say goodbye to traditional dialing by using voice-activated dialing to call family and friends. The SCH-a650 allows customers to summon 20 phone numbers using the sound of their voice. In addition, customers can keep their lives in order with the SCH-a650′s built-in organizer. Productivity tools include a scheduler, to-do list, memo pad, alarm clock, and calculator. Call management tools include a phone book, call logs, caller ID and voice mail.
The SCH-a650 is Get It Now®-enabled, offering new games, wallpapers, ringtones and productivity tools to download from the Get It Now virtual store. Applications can be downloaded over the air, without hooking up to a PC or going into a Verizon Wireless Communications Store.
The SCH-a650 is a lightweight, clamshell phone, measuring only 3.3 x 1.8 x 0.9 inches with a standard battery and unique features. For example, when the phone rings, customers can press any key to answer. Additional functions include a directional navigation key, power-save mode, vibration alert, 16 polyphonic ringtones, bilingual text display, customizable banner greeting and backlit keypad control options.
Verizon Wireless offers the SCH-a650 for $79.99 with a two-year customer agreement after a mail-in rebate or $129.99 with a one-year customer agreement after a mail-in rebate.
