There is no need for Vonage Mobile because the meter is always running. . There is also no need for a 3g or WiFi connection, just your regular cellular network. Since all cellular networks now have free incoming calls or free favorite number calls to cell phones and vice versa, with the CM1003, you can do call back or call bridge and call out from your cell phone through your Vonage line to 60 countries unlimited and free unlimited air time (no need to subscribe to expensive unlimited air time and long distance plans) to boot.

I've seen a lot of issue about vonage and its clients complaint. Vonage is not a good service, it's not recommended.

Vonage is a terrible company with a lot of unhappy customers.

"The calls are placed as local wireless calls, using up minutes on the cell phone plan, although the iPhone will use Wi-Fi instead if that’s available" I could totally see Apple blocking this.

"Google says its Voice program was rejected by Apple for duplicating the built-in functions of the phone, and the Web search company implies that Apple is protecting the revenue stream of iPhone carriers like AT&T Inc. by not approving the application. Like Vonage’s application, Google Voice provides low international calling rates."

I think this Vonage app does the same thing.

Also, does the iPod Touch have a built-in microphone? I don't think it does.
