@Andre: Professional troll or just an idiot? Windows 7 is perhaps the best OS to ever be released on a computer platform, Apple included. Windows 8 is everything Windows 7 is, in addition to better integration with MSFT products (X-box, Win Phone 7), and Metro is pretty cool and I know a lot of people are excited for it. Hell, the boot time from “off” to desktop with Windows 8 and a SSD is worth upgrading your machine.

As for Apple buying Microsoft? Apple couldn’t afford to buy Microsoft in its wildest dreams.

Windows 8 will be a flop, Microsoft just don’t get it and can’t see the future for operating systems anymore. They should stick to their Xbox. I hope Apple buys Microsoft out sometime soon.

Google really needs to improve how the tablets are made, and set standards, like certain processors and screen res.

Windows 7.5 and Xbox are very user friendly even the Zune HD was very user friendly. I think Windows 7 is the last complicated OS which makes non techy people pull their hairout.

IMO Google is the new MS rush a product and update it and give users X amount of freedom while MS and Apple take their time and build their OS to perfection. This is why you havent seen Win8 or any Win7 rushed tablets to fight the iPad. MS learning and simplicity is key now

So, it’s being claimed by Wall Street that the $499 iPad is no match for the $199 Kindle Fire and that the iPad will end up with only 50% market share by the middle of next year. It seems amazing that the Kindle Fire will attract that many consumers in such a short time.

^ i dont know about that considering they did a great job with WP7 and they excel when they focus on their products look at the Xbox. MS will battle iOS Win8 is a unification platform to unify phone, PC and console into one ecosystem so technically business savy people can take their work wherever they go with the power of skydrive. Plus Win 8 is the cloest to brining PC to the palm of your hands the battle is going to be interesting but thats whos going to battle it out not Android.

Windows 8? Lol. How many times has Microsoft tried and failed miserably to enter the mobile market? Are you delusional? It isn’t because of marketing. It’s because it sucks. Microsoft doesn’t understand (or even seem to care) what consumers want. If they wanted to make money in the mobile market, the best way to do so would be to develop an iOS version of office and sell it, not to develop ANOTHER mobile OS. Microsoft does not seem to understand consumer technology right now, and that is that.

Windows 8 says hello a tablet with native Microsoft Office built in will be iPad’s number 1 competitor. Windows 8 is the only threat to Apple’s supremecy. Unfortunatley we have to wait and see and it also depends on MS marketing team to pull this one through.
