I think there is a real potential for the iPhone, and other smartphones, to take over the GPS market. We have very small GPS units that are accurate to within a couple of feet, how curate do you really need to be when driving down the interstate? I also rarely find myself in a situation where i feel the need for a GPS unit, and when i find myself in need of one I am usually not in my own car. I would much rather pay a fraction of the price for a solid app that runs on an iPhone that i take with me every where anyways.
