Wireless Extenders Goes 800Mhz

Company offers up a new device which extends the indoor range of cellular phone coverage in the 800MHz spectrum, joining support for 1900MHz already offered.

Wireless Extenders, a developer of wireless cellular communications enhancement products, yesterday announced a new cellular signal extender device. The YX500-CEL is priced at $299.99 and should be available now.

The YX500-CEL, which works with cellular signals in the 800MHz spectrum, is part of a product line of wireless cellular signal extenders. These devices work by capturing a portion of the cellular signal outdoors and amplifying it over an indoor range of up to 2,500 square feet. Wireless Extenders says their devices, depending up the MHz range each one supports, are compatible with major carriers, their phones and services.
