First full-length Total Recall trailer arrives

Last Tuesday, Columbia Pictures released a teaser trailer for the Total Recall remake. Now we finally have the real thing. We have to admit that as fans of the 1990 Schwarzenegger version we were worried about the remake but this trailer makes the movie look like a lot of fun.

Colin Ferrall takes on Arnie’s role as Quaid with Kate Beckinsale replacing Sharon Stone as Lori. The film will also have Jessica Biel in the role of Melina with Bill Nighy as the infamous Kuato; we’re curious to see if the disturbing version of Kuato from the original Total Recall will make an appearance.

The movie is based off the Philip K. Dick short story “We Can Remember it For You Wholesale.” Quaid, a factory worker who has a fairly decent life, feels the need to take a vacation and goes uses a company that lets people live the exciting memories of others. When the procedure goes wrong Quaid finds himself trying to figure out whether or not he’s actually a spy or just stuck in the memories of one.

Total Recall is set to hit theaters starting on August 3.
