No matter how you feel about the practice of releasing trailers for trailers, it’s hard to argue with the results — especially when it comes to Marvel’s upcoming cosmic adventure Guardians Of The Galaxy.

With the film’s August 1 premiere just a few months away, Marvel Studios has kept anticipation high for the next chapter in its cinematic universe by releasing a trio of teasers for the upcoming second trailer, set to be released later today. The three teasers each offer a bit of never-before-seen footage from the film, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, and Karen Gillan, as well as the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel.

Marvel is probably saving a few surprises for the today’s trailer, but one big element that debuted in the second teaser is the voice of Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, which had been unheard until this point.

You can check out all three teasers below, and check back for the full trailer once it arrives online. (Oh, and make sure to watch the first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy if you haven’t done so already.)

Leonardo DiCaprio in Killers of the Flower Moon.

For decades, the only way to see movie trailers was to show up early at a screening for another film. When the internet came along, it meant that audiences no longer had to go to theaters to watch trailers, and now everyone can replay them as often as they like.

Regardless, trailers remain one of the most important aspects of film promotion because these video compilations often determine whether or not people will actually show up to see a film. A great trailer can drum up excitement for even a mediocre film. And even the best movies need at least a good trailer to help generate excitement.

Where to watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Karen Gillan, Chris Pratt, and Dave Baustista as Nebula, Star-Lord, and Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,

Until Barbie and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse came along, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was the hit of the summer. But $359 million domestically and $845 million worldwide is nothing to sneeze at! In a year where Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania face-planted and The Flash became one of the biggest bombs in cinematic history, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 proved that superhero fans will still show up and keep coming back for a good movie.

This movie marks the end of writer and director James Gunn's stint at Marvel, which began in 2014 with the original Guardians of the Galaxy movie. This is somewhat ironic because Gunn was fired at one point from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 over offensive tweets that he had written a decade previously, only to be hired back a year later after he was already lined up to helm The Suicide Squad for DC and Warner Bros. Pictures. That's why it took so long for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to come to fruition. Now that Gunn's commitment to this film is over, he is devoting his full attention to acting as DC Studios' co-CEO and the writer and director of Superman: Legacy.

A trio of heroines unite in The Marvels’ second trailer
Brie Larsen, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani in The Marvels.

Earlier this year, the first trailer for The Marvels revealed that Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) have become inexplicably linked via their powers. Whenever they use their abilities, they are somehow teleported into each others' position, even across galaxies. Now, the new trailer for The Marvels suggests that this wasn't an accident, as we initially believed.
