I’ve been looking all over the web for a review that reflects my opinion of my former MP3 player. The Freestyle is horrible. You can barely press down the buttons, and the headphones are junk. For me the worst part is that when your listening to your music, if your headphones come unplugged for any reason, the player shuts down and doesnt remember where it left off, making you listen to all the same songs over again. And since the buttons are like bricks, it takes forever to find the track you want. If your thinking of getting a waterproof MP3 Player, don’t waste your money on this one.

There is no quality on this mp3. When it arrived, just looking on it’s structure and headphone you can have a bad impression. After 4 or 5 times used, it stopped working. No sound at all in or out of the watter. Waste of money, but maybe the problem is that I used it out of the water!!!!

My wife had one of these. She only used it in the pool for water aerobics. When it worked, sound quality was poor & the interface was awkward & temperamental. It would repeatedly get wet inside. We dried it out in front of a fan and it worked again. But, it didn’t last 6 months before it totally died. Since it was out of it’s short warranty anyway, I took it apart. It was completely corroded inside. And, it looked like the battery had leaked from being shorted by water. I’d never buy another one.

As I first saw these online I thought it would be a great help to my workouts for swim team and or use for wake boarding: I bought two, one for swimming and one for home. But as it arrived I was deeply saddened. The device is entirely made of cheap plastic that seems it was built from used sandwich bags, the earphones weigh near to nothing yet fit deceivingly well. But when I tried them in a working zone and only one of the earbuds actually worked, and the buttons that change volume are of variable sizes which was not intended, I believe. I plugged in the USB cord and saw the green light go. The device did not follow the descriptions the guide said. When I plugged in the earphones to try it out and pressed the on button, nothing happened, I reread the guide and did as told again, with the same results. I tried again hoping something might happen, but no lights flashed whatsoever. I have made repeated attempts with no results at all. My two cents are: The Freestyle Audio Player isn’t worth 2¢.
