It is super light and very small and easy to use, I had it for almost 3 years, but nowadays it is having problems erasings and downloadings files (MP3s), and I think the flash memory got damaged and because it is built-in I lost it, too bad!

It's portable, light-weight, compact, and easy to use. This is a very good product. One of my favourite things about it is that it has an extremely large battery life. I've had mine for about 5 months and I've only had to change the battery once.

Design:
Its sleek shape lets it easily slip into your pocket without notice. It fits in the palm of your hand, and when you're holding it, all of the buttons are easily controlable no matter how it is positioned.

The only problem that I have had with the design of it, is that the headpgones are not quite long enough to reach down into your pocket.

Performance:
The sound on this thing is sooooo clear, through the headphones that come with it.

The only thing wrong might just be a factory error with mine only, but it is regarding the display: In the mode where you can scroll through the names of the songs that you have, after scrolling through about five songs at a time, the display just shuts off. But the problem is over when you restart it (this takes about ten seconds).

Conclusion:
In the end, I think this product is well worth the buy. The only problems are minor and can be fixed without hastle.

A great product

This MP3 player is awesome. it fits right in my pocket when i go snowboarding. The only problem is that there is not enough space. only 20-30 songs. another thing is the headphones there really uncomfortable and the wire is too short. rather then that it is awesome and durable

Lows: limited memory, low-quality headphones, does not remember the last playing position upon shut-down :( ...that's what bugs me most!

Highs: everything else, including but not limited to: superlight, supersmall, durable, nice looking, easy to operate, produces powerful sound with good quality, etc., etc.

Overall - SWEET!! If you can get it for $80 or less, highly recommed it!

Although it is very nice looking and the sample music sounds great, I could not download any music onto it on my eMac with with OS x 10.1.5 and iTunes 4, and it kept freezing and now won't turn on. It did it with the second DMK+ I tried too. If anyone has any info about the DMK+ and Macintosh Computers please email me. I can't get a hold of ANYONE from MPIO support.

If the manufacturer can upgrade the memory size the DMK WILL corner the market on MP3 players. Don’t worry about the different types of files it recognizes instead memory is the key. By the way if the current owners of the DMK can get a free upgrade, that would be nice. Great product!!!!!

Another aspect to be touted about this product besides its small size is the audio quality. I have Bantam BA350 and my brother owns this the MPIO-DMK. I've come not to trust specifications the manufacturers put up on their website having heard the difference in sound quality between BA350 and DMK. On paper BA350 has better signal to noise ratio and therefore should have more crisp sound, but BA350's sound quality is a joke compared to DMK. In fact, I haven't heard sound this good in that many systems.
The downside obviously is limited memory size, and file compatibility (only supports mp3s). But this is probably the perfect workout machine. After all, you don't want to put stress on your $400 iPod's hard disk. Mechanical components are bound to fail one day.

I checked out the $150-$250 CAD line up and found this one stood out as the best value. Includeda arm band neck strap and belt clip allow me to choose how to carry it based on whatever I'm doing. Headphones, power and clarity all surprisingly good. Software simple. Great deal.

I just bought the MPIO-DMK player and absolutely love it. The software that it comes with is extremely easy to learn and makes uploading a snap. The battery life is very good (one AAA lasts a week) and the sound manages to not to be sacrificed. I recommend this player for anyone looking into this market.
