I have gotten the "Oldies" one, and today I got the "80s/90s" one . Both for $40. That's 4 cents a song, which is ridiculous cheap. I had an 8 GB Fuze already, and it works like a charm. Had to upgrade the firmware, put the card in, and start playing. I've been using MP3 players for close to 10 years now, and am pretty well familiar with both ripping my CDs and downloading music/podcasts. <br /> <br />I am still puzzled by the fact that Sansa could manage to put a 1000 songs on a card and sell it for 4 cents a song. Sure, you can't go back to the previous song, and the "menu"/use of buttons could have been done better, but again; 4 cents for top songs is awesome. Easy to listen to in the car using plugging the Fuze into the car's AUX. <br />If you like to listen to 100% music, rather than 95% idiotic commercials on crappy local radio stations, this is an excellent choice. <br />Think about it: 4 cents a song! Best gift I ever bought him (other than the Clapper...). No PCs to sync with, no downloads, no credit cards or subscriptions... I am surprised that you try to judge this player through your techie eyes without thinking of the millions of people who fell of the music grid when records and CDs turned into "downloads"... exceptionally poor value? Where else (other than bittorrent or emule) can you get 1000 songs for $40? Please share... You're like someone who knows the city streets real well and thinks that because he knows the map, GPS is a bad idea for newbies (or oldies, like my dad) in town...
