Beenox returns with the next open world Spider-Man game, once again based on director Marc Webb’s big screen blockbuster, The Amazing Spider-Man 2. We already know that Electro and Rhino are featured as villains on the movies side, but this reveal trailer for the game introduces another familiar face: Kraven the Hunter.
In the comics, Kraven possesses superhuman strength and reflexes of a similar caliber to Spider-Man’s thanks to special herbs found in the jungle, but his real talents stem from his natural acumen as a big game hunter. Kraven is one of the best in the world, and he wants to prove that by defeating Spider-Man. He’s probably not going to be successful in this upcoming Beenox game, but maybe he’ll send you back to a saved checkpoint a couple times. He can have a cookie for putting in the effort, at least.
There’s no release date more concrete than “spring 2014” for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but the game is coming to virtually every platform. Seriously. Look at this trailer. It’s easier to name what it won’t be playable on: PlayStation Vita and Wii. It’ll be coming to both PlayStation consoles, both Xbox consoles, Windows PCs, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii U.
