I do think price is one of the biggest factors that is keeping PS3 from shining this generation but I have to say that no big “exclusive” titles is even bigger. I have a X360 and I like the idea of the PS3 but if Sony wants me to dish out the cash, they are going to have to show me the games. The PC market is looking good but I play console games more than I play PC games. Hats off to Nintendo for a glorious come back.

year. FUNAI plans to sell the Blu-ray player.
PS3 is a high definition disk player who can play by “1080p24Hz”.

The Xbox 360 is a cheaply manufactored console with a high failure rate, which actually costs gamers more money in the long run. People cry BR is unneeded… whatever. This is the generation of HD media, where storage becomes an issue. For quality audio and HD images, it require more storage medium. Game Developers have been asking for more storage. A good quality HD game level takes up about 1GB of data. This data adds up very quickly when you start including CG, digital audio, etc. Don't give me the compression bit. Compressing audio and textures reduce quality, which is something to avoid when dealing with HD media. The PC market is also benefiting from BRDs over HD-DVDs. Ask any game developer if storage is not an issue. Ask any Network Admin their thoughts on BR vs HD-DVD in the IT field… Blu Ray is the intelligent choice when dealing with High-Definition.

There are a TON more games out for the Wii than the PS3 man….there is no comparison.

There aren't that many games out for the Wii either, at least from what I see at the local Target/Gamestop. However, there are games for the Wii that are fun, or look fun.

I look at the Sony PS3 line up, and it's Blaaa. Nothing catches my fancy.

Gears of War is still my fav on Xbox360, and a close 2nd is Crackdown.

I think the big test for Sony will be this fall when they release their big game line-up. If the machine is still not selling despite having some killer games available for it, then it's definately the price that is hurting the system, and not the games.

Let's face it, even if the system was $300, the Wii would be outselling it. There are so few games available it just doesn't make sense right now.

Personally, I like the system, but then again I am only using it for movies right now anyways.
