I just wanted to add my review to confirm that PDF support works great. One thing I love about the PDF on the Kindle DX is that it shows page numbers rather than the units of measure the regular ebooks use that I still don't understand.

Loved your review, I ordered my DX this weekend and supposedly will have it early August...can't wait. I have never owned a kindle and I have some muscular difficulties and health concerns that make it so difficult for me to turn pages or hold a big book (and considering I am in school pursuing my Ed.D., some of the books can be quite cumbersome. I like to travel and I can't think of an easier way to hit the road. Just take it and go. If you don't have what you want on it, you can get it. I sit here waiting.... and until then I am reading the old fashioned way! =)

Rob, your DX handles PDFs better because it has a native PDF reader built in to it. The Kindle 2 does not. PDF files on the K2 first need to be converted to .AZW files to be viewed on the K2. And as they say, something gets lost in translation.

Wow thank you Rob I have been really looking into trying to get a kindle but dont know yet. I mean they took out the memory card slot which personally I feel is really important for extra memory. I wonder how the next model is going to be.
