How many cores does XP support versus Vista? I know that Dell is shipping Intel Quad Core XPS systems with XP, but I thought XP only supported 2 cores?

AMD is going to offer a CPU with built in graphics. Is there any chance that there will be a dual proc with built in graphics, or maybe even a quad core with quad built in graphics. Man could you imagine that.

if your 8 cores are running at 99%, and you run a game, your dna analysis will drop in processing power to compensate the game, no? Unless you set CPU priorities. I mean, who doesn't like staring at the screen analyzing dna? I can understand now why you use a zune player. Why waste so much time transcoding, when there are so many non-DRM players out there that you can dump movies and music to (like all archos brand players).

Hey Rob,

So is that AMD system a test rig they gave you? When will we see the CPU's used in it out on the market?

Also, when it comes to a product cycle, when do you expect Intel to really be pushing a V8 type qyad-cre system? By this Christmas?
