I think that YouTube is fully aware about the court junctions etc, and according to them, they say that they take some of that information down. Yes, they have a ton of comyrighted stuff on there, but they hold their ground on it's legality. Lastly, if another company is willing to consider acquiring it for 1.5 billion dollars how can they have zero understanding?

Roger, unfortunately you could not be further from the truth: <a href="<a rel="nofollow" href="http://money.cnn.com/2006/10/06/news/companies/google_youtube/index.htm?postversion=2006100612"">http://money.cnn.com/2006/10/06/news/companies/google_youtube/index.htm?postversion=2006100612" title="<a rel="nofollow" href="http://money.cnn.com/2006/10/06/news/companies/google_youtube/index.htm?postversion=2006100612"">http://money.cnn.com/2006/10/06/news/companies/google_youtube/index.htm?postversion=2006100612" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://money.cnn.com/2006/10/06/news/companies/goo...

Google is in talks to aquire YouTube for $1.6B. And in case you may have forgotten, Google also has a video site where they host and play videos too. Do you see the connection now?

Just because you do not understand the business model, does not mean that someone else doesn't either.

Stunningly, what the commentator fails to mention (or, more concerning in unaware of) is that the VAST majority of YouTube content is copyrighted material. How does this company survive when court injunction after court injunction starts to get handed down? In addition, where is the business model here? More "eyeballs" for advertising is a concept proven disastrous in the 1990's. Remember Excite.com?? Comparing this site to Google shows someone who has zero understanding of this industry.
