Censorship scares me, and the way the FCC has been acting the last couple years, it really has me wondering who is sponsoring all these attempts to tone down our lives.

I dont want others thinking for me. I want to make the decision myself if I think something is decent or not. If I see or hear something I dont like or agree with, guess what? I wont watch or listen to that program anymore.

We dont live in a communist country. The good ol USA is supposed to be free. Placing restrictions like this on the people is taking away a freedom that the country was founded on.

If people are so worried about what their kids watch, dont let them watch tv at all. At the very least be a good parent and regulate what your kids watch. People know what stations show kid friendly shows. If it's a channel like Cartoon Network, it's pretty obvious what time slots you dont want your kids to watch.

Censorship should be up to the parents, not the government.

Hmm this article touches a lot of sore spots with me. While I am not fan of the swearing and direction cable TV is going, I certainly do not want the FCC and specifically any influence of George Bush telling me what I can and cannot watch.

I think that a non-bias organization needs to be put into place to handle this, not the FCC for now.
