The best way to critique Enderle's 'predictions' is to wait several months. Well, it's been almost a year. No one is talking about this supposed iPod/iPhone killer. If you were as passionate in your pursuit of accurate forecasting as you are in your hatred of Apple, you might make some interesting predictions.

I don't think this phone will affect iPhone sales whatsoever. i have been a fan (unfortunately never an owner) of the n1m for a long time now and love the idea of the n2, but unless it is sold like a normal phone in phone shops (outside of sweden) it will never become mainstream. they would also need to make sure this model is a lot more reliable than the n1(m) was. as the price actually went UP on the neonode n1m close to the end of it's production i can't ever see the n2 dropping in price “close to $200 or nearly free” if reviews remain good after the phone has been on the market for a while and the price drops a litle i can definitely see myself owning an n2 over an iPhone, but unless they start to make it more readily available i can't see the majority of people making the same choice as me.

Im very curious about this phone, it looks stunning.
I for one, would be very interested in this , simply for the wow/cute/interesting factors.

The Apple Iphone has not yet hit the market adn already people are calling it the best phone ever made ( and Yes , when they bring out a Nano sized one, I will buy it ) however ...( and this is important ) even the Iphone displayed at the Apple Key note address in January, was not fully funtional.
Anyone who's had hands on with the IPhone, have been impresses...but have stated the model they used was not fully functioning.

So I wish the "fanboys" of Iphone, would open their tiny little minds to the fact, that they are basing their judgement on hype and false accolation of a product , they have NEVER EVEN HELD OR USED !!

At least this review was based on actual use of a phone, so give the reviewer a break and use your head

Well, you certainly got some people's attention. I have been seeing this phone pop-up here and there on the gadget-site-circuit. Looks neat, and could fill the niche segment of geeks that want to dack with their phones.

But I don't think this will be stealing revenue from the segment Jobs et al are targeting. Many folks just don't want to recompile her/his kernel on a computer, much much much less on the phone.

Some do! I am vividly aware of this, and this phone might take that part of the market. But apps "designed" by developers have a tendency towards looking/acting like vi. And stuff designed by Apple Inc. have a tendency to looking/acting like velvet.

you have to leave the thing docked to your PC so it can download your music in REAL TIME! ("just like a cassette," they say, "but longer." They suggest that you leave it overnight or take a nap.

Yes, I'm going to do that. Leave my phone sitting for hours. They call it a mobile phone for a reason. In comparison, filling up the iPhone via USB will take minutes.

The biggest pro for the iPhone is how it allows the user to easily handle actual calls or the address book.

So far, we heared what features this Neonode N2 has and see what it looks like. But how does is operate? If it is just a pretty UI theme on an otherwise "typical" phone, then it has way to go.

You have to decide if this is a competitor for the iPhone, or the iPhone nano !

it's NOT smaller or cheaper than the nano, and probably thicker.
and it's not at all more powerful than the iPhone, the screen is 3 times smaller, no wifi, no good internet browser or email.

@Daniel Miller -> you can put non DRM music on the iPhone or iPod, don't pretend you don't know that.

I would take this over an iPhone in a heart beat.

1) Accepts 3rd party applications
2) Expandable memory
3) costs less
4) supports non-DRM music (you are not tied down to Apple)
5) Its not made by Apple.

You can't be serious. This is supposed to be an “iPhone killer”?? No Wi-Fi, no Mac OSX, no multi-touch technology, and a size and shape that appear to be about as sexy as a pack of cigarettes. It is difficult to understand how the Neonode can even be mentioned in the same sentence as the iPhone, let alone be considered a competitor.

Wow. I like it! I think the black one pictured is pretty darn sexy. And the fact that it's cheaper and smaller would work for me! I use my iPod for music only, so that attracts me to this phone. Also, its battery is replaceable and lasts a long time. Those two things was something I was worried about with the iPhone.
