For a stereo speaker setup the Z-10′s are way expensive, but they look so darn cool and sound great. I would get them if you really want a high quality speaker setup. I personally don’t think they need a sub either.

I’ve seen these in person, and they look awesome! They are just as impressive as Logitech’s diNovo Keyboard. However, whats up with not supporting Mac OS X? Can us mac users get some cool speakers too please?!

CAVEAT EMPTOR: If you enjoy riding in a car with 6 subwoofers in the back seat or trunk blasting so loud that the entire neighborhood knows you’re coming…you probably won’t like these speakers.

If you are looking for computer speakers to enjoy good quality music. These are excellent! The soundstage is well defined, the speakers allow the music to come through as recorded without adding anything to the tonal range. For a room or office, not only do they play loud enough, but with minimal distortion. I quite impressed with the sound of the Z10. And I consider myself an audiophile. A special thanks and appreciation to Marc Liyanage for writing the Mac OS X (10.4) iTunes support. It works great!

The review states that it was disappointing the speakers can’t rely on the USB alone connection for their power needs.

Hang on it’s a 30W system! What the hell did you expect?

The USB ports on computers aren’t designed for supplying large amounts of current. It all has to come from the motherboard. Imagine how hot it would get if you started pushing the speakers to their maximum output running on just USB. Even when they’re just plugged in but not playing music, both speakers run quite warm, especially the right one.

I would be worried if they DID run off just USB to be honest.

There’s a reason people say those USB cup warmer/kettle products out there are not good for your computer.

I really wonder where they find the reviewers for sites like this sometimes.

N00bs. Come back when you have a clue.

The sound is great, but I’m not an audiophile. The only problem I have had with them is the buttons, which I guess are heat sensitive. But sometimes my fingers are cold and it is difficult for the speakers to register. And other times I don’t even need to touch it. Even so, I still love them.

We love these speakers. They provide excellent sound quality — as good as a stereo. Only problem is that the speakers are a little more than a year old and recently stopped providing any sound. I read on some review that the iPod software could be in conflict. Anyone have any ideas?
