  1. livjon at 9:48pm 11th December 2009 The new NoiseAssasin 2.0 technology is really what sets Jawbone apart. Of the dozen or so Bluetooth headsets that I’ve used, there’s simply no comparison to Jawbone.

  2. Marty at 1:22pm 10th December 2009 Don't feel alone. I look like a total moron wearing my XT250 also. The Blue Parrot is in a class of its own in performance. It is also in a class of its own in style. Some advice while wearing the XT250.
    1) wear a hooded garment
    2) sneak in and out the back door at any public place
    3) date only blind people
The Blue Parrot is that good that it is worth the trouble and embarrassment.
  3. Jason at 10:12pm 30th November 2009 I have owned an amazing amount of Headsets. I am currently using the Jawbone Prime. I do love it... it is the best mixture of form and function. I must admit that i use two headsets throughout the day as well though, I have a VXI Blue Parrot XT250. This headset is handsdown the BEST performing headset i have EVER owned. I can use the Blue Parrot in ANY noise situation. Only problem is i look like a total moron with it on. I kinda look like i am on lunch break from the local McDonalds. :) I am on the phone 5-9 hours a day and use 5 different cell phones. the Blue Parrot lasts up to 16 hours talk time which is what i need. In the past i actually used two Original jawbones. One was always charging while i used the opposite one. I use the JB Prime in the evenings and on the weekends.

  5. Kevin at 10:18pm 15th November 2009 Oh I think the Jawbone works great in the noise elimination area. I've never had anyone complain about the noise around me.

My problem is that just the slightest pressure on the side of the unit to push it better into my ear causes it to hang up.

Probably partly my fault for not waiting. I bought my Jawbone II during the first week it was available.
  6. Ian Bell at 10:46am 14th November 2009 I have heard Jabra headsets are pretty good too. My Jawbone seems to work fine, not sure why you think it doesn't work? BlueAnt headsets always seemed cheap to me.
  7. Graeme at 12:40pm 13th November 2009 While Jawbone is okay, you are buying fashion not technology, granted, they work okay, but when compared with some others, they fall far short.

the Best headset by FAR for 2009 is the Plantronics Voyager Pro, it excels on all levels, well except the subjective design category, some people may not like the look of the voyager pro at first, but it will grow on most, this headset will be one of the best sellers for the high-end headset market simply because as far as technology, comfort, and usability are concerned it is number one. ($85-150)

Another great pick is the Blueant Z9i, V1, or Q1, Next to the voyager pro these headsets provide the best quality audio. If you have a phone which does not accept voice commands than the V1 and Q1 are a little extra special, I actually prefer the V1 over the Q1 simply because it has in my opinion better (shroter) voice prompts and slightly more usable voice calling features, but the Q1 is no slouch, it will still get you were you need to go and look more stylish doing so.... The biggest con of the Blueant series would be the ant on all of their headsets, it seems a little immature, and woman don't always like the idea of having an ant in their ear. but over all these three are a great choice (Z9i: on sale at $55 more likely 65-95. V1: 75-150, Q1: 90-150)

as for mid-range headsets, the NUMBER ONE has got to be the Jabra BT-530 I have used a lot of headsets in my time and it performs right up there with a lot of the high-end sets, but at a much lower price. great sound quality both in and out, and with the optional ear hook and multitude of ear bud options, it will fit 95% of people comfortably. The BT-530 performs better than any of the jawbones (including the new PRIME). $55-$75 just shop around

If you are looking for low end... DON'T, you will hate it and for the extra few bucks to go mid-range it is more than worth it.....

While there are other headsets that hit the mark, I think the ones I listed above take the cake.
  8. Ian Bell at 8:13pm 11th November 2009 I have that problem too, the slightest squeeze and it hangs up. I almost feel like I have to use the clip to keep it on sometimes too.
  9. Kevin at 5:58pm 11th November 2009 I had the original Jawbone and Jawbone II. Both of them are extremely sensitive to moving it around on your ear. I almost always hang up on the other party when I try to adjust it.
  10. Ian Bell at 5:41pm 11th November 2009 I use the Aliph Jawbone and love it so far.
