Sierra at 1:58pm 24th December 2009 To do individual ring tones simply go to the contact that you want to have a ring tone, click the "menu" button on the bottom of the phone and click on options, one of them is to do a special ringtone
Sierra at 1:56pm 24th December 2009 There is a widget you can get from the app market for free called dockrunner It does the exact same thing as the phone does when its on the dock BUT its free. Saves you the thirty bucks.
Jonathan at 5:05pm 23rd December 2009 You may want to check the motorola droid support / faq page at http://motorola.com/support/droid They have very detailed instructions on how to use custom ringtones and assign them to individual contacts. They may also have information on bluetooth. I will admit that setting up custom ringtones is less than intuitive.
waynestephens at 3:28pm 23rd December 2009 I love the Droid but can't get it to voice dial through the blue tooth also it doesn't seam to have the ability to assign ring tones to to certain phone numbers.... am I missing something ???

djTraumatix at 4:40pm 15th December 2009 the droid has this app/widget built in, but only when i have it plugged into the media dock. i don't know if it's something you can call up like "car home" app.
xsylus at 1:33am 11th December 2009 kbaumga1 can you enlighten us as to what case you have? I find it hard enough to locate a case I like the design of let alone dealing with this stupid issue. You'd think there would be away to just disable the docking mode on the phone so that magnets don't effect it. I think the docking station is overpriced since it doesn't even connect to the computer via USB it's only for charging the phone. I had a charging station for my last phone and it only cost me $6.

droiduser at 9:40am 4th December 2009 Motorola Droid w/2.0 Nav does "talk". I was looking at the HTC due to liking the shape better but it only had android 1.5 and doesn't talk but still does the nav.
Ian Bell at 3:43pm 27th November 2009 Thats a great idea. Does the Google nav on the Droid talk while you drive? I think it uses the phone's GPS chip, which the iPhone was originally lacking.

kbaumga1 at 11:22pm 25th November 2009 I guess it depends on the mfg. I have a a caes with magnetic closure and I haven't had any problems with my DROID.
kwikwa at 10:51pm 25th November 2009 Leather cases that contain MAGNETIC closures will make your Droid phone wake-up and go into "Multi-media dock connected" mode. Droid will exit this mode when you remove it from case. Be sure to look for a velcro closure case!
