AOL Pictures: Free Storage, 100 Prints

AOL has launched AOL Pictures, a free photo sharing site with unlimited storage and social networking features - and, for a limited time, 100 free prints.

America Online has taken the wraps off AOL Pictures, a free photo sharing Web site offering users unlimited photo storage (at original resolution) plus tools enabling easy album creation. And, as a holiday and launch promotion, AOL is offering each user 100 free 4 by 6 glossy or matte prints.

AOL Pictures is a revamped version of You’ve Got Pictures, AOL’s previous members-only photo service boasting about 6 million users. However, as AOL increasingly tries to reposition itself as an Internet portal rather than a proprietary online service, it’s launching tools, services, and features designed to compete with online titans Yahoo and Google
