Toshiba rolls out new hard drive based digital camcorders for the early part of 2006.
At CES 2006 in early January Toshiba was showcasing a number of new products for the coming year. One of those lines which were drawing some attention was their new gigashot digital camcorders.
The gigashot digital camcorders are hard drive based and come in two models: GSC-R30 (30GB, available February, $799) and GSC-R60 (60GB, available February, $999). Both are capable of recording MPEG-2 videos as well as taking digital still images.
