I have had many of these issues but I resolved (most) of these. The issue still being found out is MP3. I read that you do the same thing to putvideos/pictues in. Hook up the USB cord to a USB port on the BACK of the CPU. Turn on the camera. Select 'Mass Storage'. pen MP3 file. I tried that but it went terrible. Everything I had recorded and saved was gone. To download MP3 music, you need MP3 music in a file. Not Playlist.

I REALLY LIKE THIS CAMERA I HAVE HAD SINCE IT CAME OUT ,IT DOSE EVERYTHING I TAKE IT WITH ME EVERYWHERE, I TAPE AUDIO FROM MY CAR RADIO AND SONGS FROM MY CHURCH. IT IS THE BEST CAMERA

if i take a picture and i dont like it, and try to delete it, the camera makes me delete all pictures i have on my camera. it wont give me the option to delete ONE picture at a time.

I need to know what the down button on the ring around the shutter button does in movie mode. It flashes a triangle on the monitor with either 3 or 6 dots in it like a rack of pool balls. What is that all about? Otherwise I like the camera.

that I made for my vistaquest vq1005, basically a piece of wood with a nut in it having the same thread as a tripod.

It will be more challenging to mount on the 506v but it can be done I'm sure.

My problem is that the book does not give enough information on how to use the cmaera it just pretty muc tell where everything is and how it works. ok, i was looking throgh the comments, and i see that several people have had this same problem. I took a BUNCH of videos, and need some space. I hooked it up to the USB and hit “main storage” on the camera. it went to “Picture It!”. This is one of the worse cameras I've ever used. I bought it mainly for a high quality webcam and I've spent 6 hours with their horrible instructions and software. I finally had to uninstall all my other video programs and then finally got it to install only to have the picture be so dark I can't use it for a webcam. I have all the lights on and brought other lights in and adjusted all the settings.

I'm really bummed out I got so ripped.

Camera was working fine. Now the LCD display lights up when turning the camera on, but it is a solid white light with nothing displaying. Any thoughts? Anyone?

I am having a terrible problem taking pictures indoors,why? Also,I am holding the camera as still as I can but the hand is always there. I agree that the instructions are awful. You can see the pictures in the manual. Please help me to take better pictures!

Hi, I just received this camera for Christmas . . . frankly, I was initially thinking of returning it, but I just lost my main digital camera (which I'm pretty upset about) and so I'm wondering if I should just hold on to it. My main concern is that I'm reading from several people that there are low-light problems. I would mostly be filming and taking photographs inside with this camera – should I just return it and put the money towards something better? I mean, I like all the capabilities of this camera, is there a better version? Any advice is appreciated . . .

I just purchased this freaking piece of %#@! and every time I put a 1GB SD card in it, it shuts down. I tried a couple different cards, but it only seem to work with Mega Byte cards. So I took it back to Walmutt and they open a fresh one and it did the same thing. Put in a 1 GB SD card and it locked up… but put in a 128 or 256 MB card and it seems to work find. I even formated the SD card hoping that it would help…But Nooooo! And the dxg website… worthless! Sooo, if someone can give some insight into this great mystery it would be greatly appreciated. freaking piece of %#@!

I purchased the dxg 506v from a department store at a very reasonable price. I Put batteries in and switched on the power but nothing happens on the display screen. Of course i've lost my receipt. I'm just wondedring if i'm doing something wrong. Shouldn't the screen automatically turn on when the power is switched on? If anyone has any suggestions please share. Thank you.

I can't get this frickin thing to turn on. The batteries are brand new. I just took this camera out of the box. I thought maybe the batteries were defective so I got new ones. Still nothing.
I am blonde, but I swear the batteries are in correctly. I just want to take pics of my beautiful baby girl to send to my family back home and I can't even get the damn thing to turn on. I can't even get to the point of having the same problems everyone else is having yet!
GRRRR!
Any thoughts, anyone??
